Brand Introduction
Fjällräven was founded in 1970 in the small village of Övik, Sweden, by 14-year-old skier Ake Nordin. He wanted a backpack that allowed him to carry more gear comfortably, but the backpacks of that time were very uncomfortable. He decided to make his own backpack, crafting a wooden frame and attaching it to a pack with leather straps, creating his first trekking backpack. Upon joining the military, Ake realized the need for a backpack that could carry more gear and, at the age of 24, founded Fjällräven in 1960, starting the production of outdoor equipment and clothing. The iconic Arctic Fox logo can now be seen on city streets, in forests, and in the wild, representing a leading outdoor brand in Northern Europe. Over 60 years, Fjällräven has presented functional products suitable for the Scandinavian outdoor lifestyle in over 20 countries, including the US and Europe.
