Creamy Lokta paper, softened by pressed bougainvillea and leafy botanical shapes, gives this handmade journal the feeling of a small garden kept close. It suits quiet morning pages, travel notes, sketches in pencil, or the private lists that feel better written by hand.
Pressed petals and a wraparound cover
The cover has a natural, fibrous look, with muted green-grey leaves and pink-purple petal tones set into the surface.
A scalloped wrap flap folds over the front, giving the journal a gentle, handmade silhouette.
The floral cover feels personal rather than polished, made for thoughts that can arrive slowly.
Its soft botanical colours sit easily on a bedside table, desk, or inside a day bag.
Lokta paper with a floral surface
The journal is made from Lokta paper, with pressed bougainvillea petals adding soft purple colour to the cover. The finish is natural and textured rather than glossy, so the beauty sits in the fibres, the petal shapes and the small irregularities of the surface.
Writing with it day to day
Use it for journalling, fragments of poems, travel memories, lists, or small studies from a walk. Keep it dry, and store it away from damp places so the paper and pressed petals stay at their best.
Lokta craft from Nepal
Lokta paper has a long place in Nepalese paper craft, prized for its fibrous texture and close connection with handmade stationery. Here, that tradition is given a botanical cover, with bougainvillea pressed into the surface rather than printed on top. It makes the notebook feel less like office stationery and more like a personal object, something chosen for the pleasure of opening it as much as for the words it will hold.
