Key Features
The 45-degree angled design improves access to molars and other difficult-to-reach areas. A high-brightness fiber-optic LED provides clear illumination, enhancing both efficiency and safety. The push-button chuck allows one-handed bur insertion and removal. The three-hole spray delivers uniform mist cooling to reduce heat and patient discomfort. Low noise and minimal vibration increase patient comfort. The handpiece withstands 135 °C autoclave sterilization, and the LED module can be removed for separate cleaning and sterilization.
Structure Overview
The handpiece consists of a detachable fiber-optic LED light source, a push-button chuck head, a 45-degree angled body, a quick-coupler plug, and a three-hole spray nozzle.
Installation and Connection
Turn off the dental unit air supply. Select the correct coupler for your unit. Align the handpiece coupler with the unit interface and push until you hear a click. Turn the air supply back on and confirm that water spray, air pressure, and LED illumination are functioning correctly.
Operating Instructions
Install the bur by pressing the head button, inserting the bur fully, releasing the button, and gently pulling the bur to confirm it is locked. Set the air pressure to a range of 0.20 MPa to 0.25 MPa, as recommended for dental equipment and air pumps. Activate the handpiece with the foot control. To ensure the drill bit does not overheat, it is crucial to maintain a continuous water spray during the drilling operation. After treatment, run the handpiece for two to three seconds to expel residual water.
Cleaning and Sterilization
Immediately after use, wipe the exterior clean. Remove the LED module by turning it counter-clockwise and clean it separately. To ensure the handpiece is properly sanitized, adhere to the standard cleaning protocols for dental handpieces, which include thorough manual cleaning, disinfection, and lubrication. and use only approved lubricating oil. Sterilize dental instruments using high-pressure steam at 135 °C for 15-20 minutes, or follow your facility's specific sterilization protocol, ensuring strict adherence to operational guidelines and regular monitoring for effective disinfection. After sterilization, dry the internal channels with oil-free compressed air to prevent moisture build-up.
Maintenance
Post-sterilization, apply two to three drops of manufacturer-recommended handpiece lubricating oil into the drive air tube. Inspect the LED brightness and the quick-coupler O-rings weekly; replace worn parts promptly. Do not disassemble the turbine; internal repairs must be performed by authorized service personnel. If the handpiece will not be used for an extended period, clean, sterilize, lubricate, and dry it before storage.
(1)O-ring Replacement (fiber-optic models)
If water appears in exhaust tubing, replace the complete O-ring set:
1)Unscrew and remove rear cone ring.
2)Remove old O-rings manually.
3)Install new O-ring set correctly.
4)Re-tighten cone ring firmly.
*Refer to spare-parts list for correct items.*
(2)Coupler Maintenance (fiber-optic models)
1)Detach coupler from hose.
2)Remove rear washer.
3)Pull out water tube and replace check valve.
4)Insert new check valve and reinstall rear washer.
*Refer to spare-parts list for correct items.*
Troubleshooting
If the handpiece does not rotate or rotates sluggishly, check air pressure and add lubricant. If the bur slips, the chuck mechanism may be worn and should be replaced. If the LED does not illuminate, ensure the module is fully seated or replace the LED bulb. If water leaks from the coupler, the O-ring may be damaged and should be replaced.
