"Zoids" are metallic lifeforms that inhabit Planet Zi and possess exceptional combat capabilities and a will to fight. The Blade Liger is a lion-type Zoid evolved from the Shield Liger. It is the mobile suit of the protagonist, Ban Flyheight, and one of the most powerful Zoids.
The anime began airing in 1999 and depicts the growth of the young Ban Flyheight and the ancient Zoid girl, Fine, through their interactions with Zoids. It garnered attention not only for its story but also for its groundbreaking techniques, such as the use of 3D CG in battle scenes.
