The waterproof lining is molded into the instep, preventing water from penetrating the interior for up to 4cm from the bottom (the surface where the sole touches the ground). Please note that water will seep in if the depth exceeds 4cm. Note: This product's waterproof rating is based on immersion in 4cm of still water for four hours. Prolonged wear, such as in the rain, may result in water seeping in. Water may also seep in if the instep is submerged in water (especially at the base of the laces).
