This model accurately depicts the rugged exterior designed for cold and snowy conditions during the Hokkaido Hakodate Main Line and Otaru Chikko Depot era. It features characteristic equipment such as shield beam auxiliary lights (not lit), a heavy oil tank on the tender, and a snowplow.

Differences between No. 2 and No. 3 units are detailed: No. 2 features a shining swallow mark on the deflector and white lines on the side of the running board; No. 3 has no white lines on the running board, a lower front number plate, and piping on the boiler.

Equipped with a coreless motor power unit for powerful and smooth operation.

Represents the gap between the boiler and the chassis, as well as the wheel centers of the perforated box wheels, just like the real locomotive.

Headlights light up.

Standard equipped with an Arnold coupler, includes replacement knuckle couplers, a double-heading Arnold coupler, and a double-heading knuckle coupler.

This model represents the famous C62 2 locomotive from the late Showa 40s SL boom in Hokkaido. It allows reproduction of the express train "Niseko" operated by the No. 2 and No. 3 units in a double-head configuration.
