The legendary two-stroke sports bike known as the "400 Killer"
Due to stricter automobile emission regulations in the 1970s, the global market for two-stroke engines was shrinking. Yamaha, determined to create what would be their "last two-stroke" model, began development of a culminating model. The "RZ250 (4L3)," released in 1980, incorporated the latest technology of the time, including a water-cooled two-stroke parallel twin-cylinder engine, a Monocross-type rear suspension, and cast wheels. The kit is a reproduction based on thorough research of the actual vehicle. The tank parts are white. The headlights/taillights are mirrored, and the seat handle is chrome-plated.
