The VOX wah-wah pedal, introduced in 1967, was widely embraced by players. Surviving original units are now considered vintage units, not only rare but highly sought after for their distinctive tone. This time, VOX thoroughly researched the original wah pedal, focusing on unlocking its secrets and achieving its goal of offering a "brand new" wah pedal with legendary tone. Custom-made variable resistors and inductors, along with hand-selected capacitors, recreate the vintage sound. Compared to the simultaneously released V846 Vintage, the VRM-1/VRM-1 Limited features a more mid-range focused effect, giving the first string a more singing presence. A 3D scan of the original housing was used to recreate the dimensions, feel, and sonic impact, and the "VOX" lettering is removed from the front. This is a VRM-1 Limited model wrapped entirely in chrome.
