A vintage-style decorative box for the small things that deserve their own place: jewellery taken off at night, keepsakes from a trip, or a folded note you want to keep close. Its aged chest-like look and brass fittings bring a little old-world character to a dresser, shelf or bedside table, without pretending to be a true antique.
What gives it character
The chest form feels quietly nostalgic, made for display as much as storage.
An aged finish gives it the look of something found and kept, rather than freshly polished.
Brass fittings add warm detail against the wood and MDF body.
It suits everyday treasures: rings, small jewellery, coins, charms, notes or little gift pieces.
The vintage-inspired finish means small variations are part of the look, not flaws.
Wood, MDF and aged detailing
The box is made from MDF and wood, with brass fittings adding the decorative chest feel. It is produced in China as part of a vintage-style range, designed as a replica antique rather than a genuine old piece.
The finish is intentionally aged, so each box may differ slightly in colour, surface detail and overall character.
How to use and look after it
Use it on a dressing table for jewellery, on a shelf for keepsakes, or as a more thoughtful way to present a small gift. It is best for light decorative storage rather than heavy household items.
Keep it dry, dust it with a soft cloth, and avoid leaving it in damp places. The aged surface is part of its charm, so clean gently rather than scrubbing.
A note on the style
This piece draws on the romance of travel chests and old-world storage boxes, where practical forms were given decorative fittings and a sense of ceremony. Here, that feeling is translated into a small decorative object for modern homes. It is not an antique, and it is not meant to be perfect. The slight variation in finish helps it feel less uniform, more like a found piece with a story of its own.
