This design features a goldfish swimming coolly from above. The shadows add a more realistic look to the way it swims through the water. Goldfish were popular during the Edo period, and common people flocked to raise them. Before glass goldfish bowls were invented, people would place them in ponds or bowls and admire their beauty from above, a practice known as "kamimi." Enjoy the traditional pleasure of staying cool with a tenugui towel.
Made in Japan with high-quality Chita cotton Tokuoka fabric.
Like traditional tenugui towels, both ends are left unfinished.
It can also be used as interior décor by mounting it on a hanging scroll or framing it. At 100cm long, it's also suitable as a kendo mask towel.
