TACOM Andy's Hobby HQ "1/16 Scale American M113A1 Armored Personnel Carrier/M113A1 ACAV 2-in-1" Plastic Model Kit.
The M113 is an armored personnel carrier developed in the United States and adopted in 1960.
Approximately 80,000 M113s, including variants, were manufactured and used in a variety of combat and support operations.
The M113A1, powered by a diesel engine instead of a gasoline engine, was standardized in 1964.
The ACAV (Armored Cavalry Assault Vehicle) is a modified M113 with curved armor around the commander's cupola and the addition of a mantlet to the 12.7mm M2 heavy machine gun, allowing for infantry combat-like operation. Developed in 1963, it was used in Vietnam.
Choose to build either the M113A1 Armored Personnel Carrier or the M113A1 ACAV.
