Product Introduction
In June 1941, the Japanese Army imported three Bf 109 E-7s from its ally, Germany, for research purposes. These Bf 109s engaged in mock air battles with Japanese Army fighters, including the Ki-81 (Shoki), providing a valuable insight into the nature of heavy fighters. They are also said to have served as a reference for aircraft design, including water-cooled engines and mass-production aircraft. This product recreates the first and second imported aircraft. The Tamiya Bf 109 E-7 includes new decals, as well as scenery elements such as a Japanese Army pilot figure, a maintenance crew member, a drum, and a Type 89 fixed machine gun. It also includes a Nano Aviation series German aircraft seatbelt. This product is a plastic model kit that requires assembly and painting. Additional adhesives, tools, and paints are required for assembly and painting. "Plastic Model" is a registered trademark of the Japan Plastic Model Industrial Cooperative.
