Very disappointing and unstable I really wanted to like this overhead camera stand, but it turned out to be a big disappointment. The design looks great on paper and it claims to handle the weight of a DSLR, yet my Canon camera was far too heavy for it in practice. Even at the lowest extension it feels unstable. When positioned at a 90 degree angle for overhead recording, the stand becomes extremely top-heavy and tips over with the slightest movement. It simply doesn’t offer the stability you need for filming or photography. For anyone planning to use this with a DSLR or a heavier mirrorless camera, I wouldn’t recommend it. It might work for a phone or a very lightweight compact camera, but definitely not for anything more substantial. I’m returning it and will look for a sturdier, more reliable alternative.

It will help you to give an artistic effect to the object located at a not too great distance. But it would be better to use it together with a stronger light source. It is as it says, good for mobile phones, action cameras. But using it separately, it won't give you enough light for filming, but you can't expect more than 2w. It discharges faster than it charges. In 10 minutes, it loses approximately 25% of the battery. The white color is blue, a common problem with low quality rgb leds. I think the only advantages are that it is small and rgb.

Received item ok, worked ok initially on batteries but when I tried using a correct polarity 4,5v dc input the battery function stopped and the dc input function has a background hum. It seems that the battery function for the emitter no longer works after using dc input and dc input function is unsatisfactory due to back ground hum. I have tried to contact Joom but cannot locate the Joom support button as per instructions so request Joom help me by contacting me on receipt of this review, which seems to be the only way to contact them!

Hello, I received the item but did not try it yet because I did not receive the glue entitled as per the user manual. I complained 3 times but since my emails are not looked at by the same employee, I always receive a different answer. It is really frustrating! I have been working in geurilla film making since 2008. I say this lamp is the best hang for buck yet. Works nicely in small spaces and can be use as additional directional lamp supporting others for 'toning' the scene. RESPECT IT'S BUDGET FRAMEWORK AND IT WILL RESPECT YOU!
