This is a self-assembling erect image telescope with a 40mm aperture and 15x magnification (33° apparent field of view). The entire telescope is divided into vertical sections and packaged in an A4-sized, approximately 3cm thick box. It can be assembled in about 10 minutes without the need for tools or glue. It uses a prism to magnify the image of the view in the exact direction you see it, making it easy for anyone to use. It's ideal for observing celestial bodies like the lunar craters and the Pleiades, as well as observing nature like distant terrestrial scenes and wild birds. Attaching it to a commercially available camera tripod makes observations even easier. ● Vertical split structure allows for easy understanding of the optical mechanism. ● Durable plastic telescope tube. ● Objective lens is a 1-group, 2-element achromat made of optical glass. ● Plastic eyepiece with 3-element, 3-group configuration. ● Porro I prism (2 right-angle prisms) used for erecting optical system. ● Helicoid eyepiece for easy focusing. ● Threaded hole for camera tripod attachment. ● Approximately 28 cm in length, weighs approximately 200 g. ● Includes a 16-page guidebook on astronomy and bird watching. ● Commentary on astronomy observation by Akira Kawamura, Commentary on bird watching by Toru Kyogoku.
